《107/12/15 講座活動 》A Journey for Music and Medicine 一趟結合音樂與醫學的旅程
Activity Introduction 活動時間與介紹
There are many ways by which music can be associated with medicine. In US, medicine orchestras are the most visible. These orchestras comprise of amateur musicians who are associated with medical centers and medical schools either directly (e.g. via employment) or indirectly (e.g. via family members, alumni). Examples of these medicine orchestras can be found in UCSF, U of Michigan, Boston (Longwood Symphony Orchestra) and Duke University Medical Center (Durham Medical Orchestra).
We have the honor to have guest visitors from Duke University to introduce to us the concept of medicine orchestra with the aim to foster more collaboration between the undergraduate colleges and medical center using music as a tool.
